Saturday was spent primarily as a tourism day. The morning we visited a market in Haarlem which really is one of the coolest places to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, bread and off course cheese!
We then took a train ride to Den Haag which is a coastal city. Our “tour guides”took us on a walking tour through the city explaining some of the history and also key insights into the Dutch people. We ended our time in Den Haag by having a famous fish and chips at the pier.
The evening the team split in two with Harry and Wendy having supper in Haarlem and the rest of us having a very traditional Dutch meal with the students and teaching them how to play Fast Uno late into the night.
